The selection of wires generally follows the following two principles:
First, when the use conditions are clear, select the wire according to the most matching outer diameter range of the high-voltage connector. Most of the high-voltage connectors require waterproof performance ≥ IPX7. After the connector and the wire are assembled, the rubber ring is squeezed to achieve waterproofing. Requirements, tightening torque 5-8N m. Therefore, when the outer diameter of the wire exceeds the adaptable range of the connector wire, it will cause processing difficulties or the waterproof effect will not meet the requirements. Taking the Amphenol PL28X-301-70 connector as an example, the optimal outer diameter of the wire is between 19.2-19.8, and the waterproof effect is the best in this range.
