The SPI interface generally uses four signal lines to communicate:
SDI (data input), SDO (data output), SCK (clock), CS (chip select)
MISO: Master input/slave output pin. This pin transmits data in slave mode and receives data in master mode.
MOSI: Master output/slave input pin. This pin transmits data in master mode and receives data in slave mode.
SCLK: Serial clock signal, generated by the master device.
CS/SS: Slave device chip select signal, controlled by the master device. Its function is to be used as a “chip select pin”, that is, to select a specified slave device, so that the master device can communicate with a specific slave device independently and avoid conflicts on the data line.
