Metamoto offers “Simulation as a Service” to self-driving companies in an attempt to help self-driving companies iterate through an accelerated feedback loop. Its products mainly include three parts: designer, cloud platform and analyzer. The designer can be used to add road networks, other environmental vehicles, pedestrians and signal lights to build a test scenario, and multiple test cases can be generated by controlling the range of values for various parameters.
The cloud platform is responsible for scheduling hardware resources according to the conditions of the cases to be tested, running the test cases in parallel, and generating a large amount of test data. After the run is complete, the analyzer can be used to play back the simulated sensor data and various simulation information of the vehicle to debug the automated driving system.
