Task Mapping for Multicore Chips
According to application scenarios and user requirements, multi-core architectures are divided into two types: homogeneous and heterogeneous. A homogeneous multi-core chip is that all cores in the chip are the same, that is, they all have similar computing power and instruction set architecture. The heterogeneous architecture is the integration of different cores into one chip. For example, cores that provide high performance and low power consumption are usually heterogeneous. In terms of task mapping, homogeneous processors have less workload than heterogeneous processors and do not need to confirm the assignment of tasks based on the properties of different cores.
