Centralized BMS system
The data collection of the distributed structure BMS is decentralized, and the functions of the battery pack are relatively independent.
The whole system is divided into “monitoring unit of single battery” and “battery management controller”.
The monitoring unit (Cell Monitor Unit) is installed on the single battery and is responsible for the information collection and transmission of the single battery.
Several monitoring units are connected with the battery management controller BMU through signal lines, carry out data communication, and then transmit to the vehicle ECU through the CAN bus.
