Lithium-ion battery is a secondary battery (rechargeable battery) that mainly relies on lithium ions to move between positive and negative electrodes to work. During the charging and discharging process, Li+ intercalates and deintercalates back and forth between the two electrodes. When charging, Li+ is deintercalated from the positive electrode and embedded in the negative electrode through the electrolyte, and the negative electrode is in a lithium-rich state; the opposite is true during discharge.
The voltage range of lithium-ion batteries is 2.8V~4.2V, and the typical voltage is 3.7V. If it is lower than 2.8V or higher than 4.2V, the battery may be damaged.
The concept of 1C and 0.1C
The unit of battery capacity is mAh, and C refers to the rate of charging and discharging of the battery. For example, for a 2000mAh battery, discharging at 1C means that the discharge current is 2000mA, and 0.1C is 200mA. The same is true for charging.
