In ABS, the brake line that can independently adjust the brake pressure is called the control channel.
The control channels of the ABS device are divided into four-channel, three-channel, two-channel and one-channel.
Four-channel type Four-channel ABS has four wheel speed sensors. In the pipelines leading to the four wheel brake cylinders, each has a brake pressure regulator device for independent control, forming a four-channel control form. However, if the adhesion coefficients of the left and right wheels of the car are quite different (such as water or ice on the road surface), the ground braking force of the two wheels will be quite different during braking, so a yaw moment will be generated, causing the body to move towards the braking force. The side with more power deviates and cannot keep the car running in the predetermined direction, which will affect the stability of the braking direction of the car. Therefore, the driver should reduce the speed when driving on a slippery road such as partially icy or stagnant water, and should not blindly trust the ABS device.
