The wiring structure will take into account the temperature and humidity constraints imposed by the area integrated on the vehicle, thus:
Wiring components must have a temperature rating corresponding to the environment in which they operate;
In vehicle areas prone to high humidity, sealed connectors and seals are required in the metal terminal crimps on each wire;
The choice of wire protection measures will be made according to the aggressive potential of the area through which the line passes and the flexibility requirements imposed by the assembly;
For optimal protection, orientation and line fixation, the connections will use parts (gaskets for protection when the wires pass through the metal frame, plastic parts for fixing and forming paths, etc.).
A particularly important step in the design process is the 3D modeling of the wiring harness, which helps define how it will be integrated into the vehicle. In the 3D model, all components that are part of the routing runtime environment are represented. This is the stage where the harness path is established, harness debates are simulated to predict and prevent future incidents due to harness attacks when the harness comes into contact with other components.
