Dot wrap
The tape must be wrapped twice around the harness, the same width as the tape. If there are other special regulations, the center position of the branch needs to be wrapped.
Requirement: If the process file is defined, the number of winding turns is defined according to the process file. The spot wrapping needs to wrap all the wires (no wires are leaking outside the spot wrapping), the tape head is tightly attached without opening, and the spot wrapping position, spacing, and number must meet the requirements of the process document.
Spacing wrapping (flower wrapping)
When starting to wind the tape, follow the dots at the starting point, then helically wind it along the direction marked by the wire harness at an angle of about 45 degrees, and finally wrap it at the end position. On the basis of the above:
● If the diameter of the trunk of the wire harness is less than or equal to 1/2 of the width of the tape, no exposed wires are allowed in the spacing;
● If the diameter of the trunk of the wire harness is greater than 1 of the width of the tape/the spacing between the tapes is not greater than the width of the tape itself, 1/2 is the best, and the spacing is uniform. (There will be differences in the standards of various industries and OEMs)
