Smart Architecture Charging Interface Device (SACID), this gateway is V2G compliant and uses transport layer security to ensure a secure connection to the network, the same protocol that supports encryption and authentication of HTTPS web traffic. SACID is compatible with all regional charging standards and improves functional safety by locking the connection between the plug and inlet and using three temperature sensors to automatically stop charging when the temperature exceeds safe limits. Every aspect of the charging process can be addressed, from modular inlets with active cooling to busbars that enable high-voltage connections within the battery pack.
