ArcheOpterix: As mentioned earlier, finding acceptable architectural designs is a challenging task for software and system architects, considering quality and functional requirements during the architectural design phase. ArcheOpterix is ​​an Eclipse-based open source tool that helps simplify tasks using evaluation techniques, DSE methods, and optimization heuristics against the AADL specification. The framework supports the modeling of software components and the communication between software components, ECUs, buses and services. Furthermore, the tool can optimize the deployment of software components to ECUs, taking into account design constraints and optimization objectives, including redundancy allocation and cost. The tool can specify uncertain information related to system parameters, so it can search for optimal and robust candidate architectures. The following figure shows the top-level framework of ArcheOpterix.
