At present, most high-voltage wire harnesses use coatings to protect high-voltage wire harnesses. The functions of coatings are mainly anti-wear, noise reduction, radiation heat insulation, and aesthetics. Generally, orange high-temperature resistant flame-retardant bellows or orange high-temperature flame-resistant bellows are used. Bucky sleeves provide full coverage.
For high-voltage wire harnesses installed at the bottom of the vehicle and in the splash area of the wheel well, special attention needs to be paid to the damage of wires/connectors by water and road abrasives. Among them, the high-voltage wires installed under the vehicle wading line shall all adopt sealing/waterproof measures.
Sealing and waterproofing mainly work together from the selection of wire harness parts and the layout of wire harnesses.
Sealing measures: high-voltage wires are matched with high-voltage connectors, and sealed by wire seals, heat-shrinkable tubes, rubber parts, etc., to meet the waterproof and dustproof requirements of IP67.
