For this system, we choose 1 large capacitor of 31.831 uF and 63 small capacitors of 0.0316 uF to meet the requirements.
Note: The above calculation based on target impedance is only to illustrate the basic principle of this method. In practice, such a simple calculation cannot be done, because there are still many problems to be considered.
Parallel connection of capacitors of the same value
Using many capacitors in parallel can effectively reduce the impedance. The effect of 63 small 0.0316 uF capacitors (each with an ESL of 1 nH) in parallel is equivalent to a 1.9908 uF capacitor with a 0.159 nH ESL.
