SOA adapter
Transform information/functions from legacy IVNs into “services” that can be easily accessed by applications on any Ethernet-based ECU.
On the Ethernet side, services are provided on top of the SOME/IP protocol.
Can be implemented on “bridge ECUs” between legacy IVNs and Ethernet-based IVNs, such as domain control units, zone controllers, etc. It can also be implemented only on non-bridging ECUs with an Ethernet interface.
The services provided by SOA adapters can change dynamically.

Caches external information to handle availability and cost of external networks.
Apply policies and enforce service-level access controls.
