Routing paths must meet several conditions, such as:
Elimination of risks arising from proximity to elements/areas with potential for erosion by using corresponding fixing elements and protection imposed by the existing thermal state of the area through which the harness passes;
The path chosen must be as direct as possible so as not to add unnecessary length to the wiring;
The choice of path must take into account the need to make assembly of the harness on the vehicle as easy as possible. If it is determined that there are difficulties installing the wiring on the vehicle, the routing and/or harness architecture will need to be modified (changing the length of the wiring drift, removing or adding fixing elements).
Any deviation from the above conditions will result in a change in the wiring, which will result in higher or lower costs depending on the phase of the project.
On the basis of electrical diagrams and 3D modeling, 2D drawings drawn on wiring assembly boards were made. For carousel assembly lines, the 2D drawing contains the complete layout of the harness, as well as the instructions necessary for harness assembly. Every board that goes into the assembly line is marked with the same drawing. For the type of dynamic assembly line most commonly used in practice, several 2D diagrams are elaborated, corresponding to specific stages of the assembly process, made on each board that constitutes the assembly line.
