Clearance control of harness
In order to prevent the wiring harness from being damaged, the wiring harness should try to avoid sharp sheet metal edges, edges of peripheral parts, and mounting holes of other parts, especially the bends of the wiring harness. The requirements for wiring harness layout gaps are mainly:
● Except for the parts that fix the wire harness, the gap between the wire harness and the peripheral parts (without sharp edges) is more than 6mm (inclusive).
● Consider the influence of the installation of other parts on the wiring harness when arranging the wiring harness. For example, the fixed point of the wiring harness should ensure a clearance of more than 20mm (inclusive) with the installation point of the interior parts (such as door guards), and should be arranged side by side with the installation point as much as possible.
● When the wire harness is fixed on two parts with relative motion, the length of the wire harness segment should be greater than the displacement length between the two components, and the minimum value is 25mm.
● The minimum distance between the wiring harness and the moving parts should be greater than 25mm, and the clearance from the moving envelope should be more than 7mm (inclusive). Where the minimum distance is, the wiring harness should not be in a free state.
● The wiring harness in the vibration area should be kept within 100mm of the back of the connector.
In addition to the basic physical protection mentioned above, such as the interference between the wiring harness and the peripheral components, the wiring harness also needs to be protected for electrical performance, such as waterproof, dustproof, electromagnetic interference, temperature control and so on.
