Seal verification
Harness connectors, inline points, joints, etc. with sealing requirements must pass the non-leakage test under 0.5 bar pressure for more than 5 minutes.
Specific method: Put the sealed wire in water and fix it, as shown in Figure 5, add 0.5 bar of air pressure to the wire through the air pump, and observe whether there are air bubbles at the seal. No air bubbles appear for 5 minutes, indicating that the seal is good.
The sealing of the wiring harness in the wet area of the vehicle is very important. For the location of the wiring harness and the grounding point, it is the best choice to use the glued heat-shrinkable tube for sealing. In order to avoid the harm of siphon phenomenon, it is also very necessary to seal all the ground points in the wet area. The processing technology of the heat shrinkable tube must meet the standard requirements to achieve the purpose of waterproof sealing.
