Current monitoring method
At present, the BMS of electric vehicles widely uses non-inductive shunts and Hall sensors as current detection devices.
The non-inductive shunt is used to monitor the current size of the charging and discharging of the bus, and a millivolt-level voltage signal is formed at both ends of the resistor to monitor the total current.
Compared with shunts that work based on Ohm’s law, Hall sensors that do not generate heat during operation, have fast response speed, high measurement accuracy, small size, and strong overload capacity are more popular. Its working principle is to detect the magnetic field strength of the conductor by being close to the current-carrying conductor, and then calculate the current through the strength of the magnetic field.
