Failure analysis -: wire harness burnt
Burning and burning of wiring harness Burning and burning of wiring harness is one of the “most dangerous” failure modes of engine wiring harness, which can cause the car to catch fire in severe cases. There are many reasons for the scorching and ablation of the engine wiring harness. The analysis includes the following five types:
● Too close to the heat radiation source, resulting in fast aging of the wiring harness.
● There is high temperature gas leakage around, and the ambient temperature of the wiring harness exceeds the temperature range that the material can withstand.
● The environment is relatively closed, with little air convection, mainly relying on radiation for heat dissipation, and the heat dissipation speed is slow.
● The circuit is overloaded, causing the wire to heat up violently and burn out the outer insulating sleeve.
● The fixing and protective measures of the wiring harness are not done well. The wiring harness is often scalded or even scorched due to the lack of wiring harness clips near heat sources such as the engine, exhaust pipe, water pipe, etc., resulting in electrical equipment not working properly.
