Camshaft
The camshaft is an integral part of the valve train, which controls the valve timing. Some engines are also used to drive the oil pump, gasoline pump and distributor.
The camshaft is mainly composed of intake and exhaust cams, support shafts, timing gear shafts, gasoline pump eccentric cams, oil pumps and distributor drive gears.
When the engine is working, in order to reduce the deformation of the camshaft and avoid the malfunction of the valve train, most of the camshaft supports are fully supported. For example, the camshafts of Shanghai Santana, FAW Audi 100 and Toyota ZY and 3Y engines all use five a journal. Some engines are not fully supported
