Manual adjustment of ignition advance angle
When the ignition advance angle needs to be changed in order to adapt to the change of fuel quality or the technical condition of the engine, the fixing screw of the distributor assembly can be loosened, and the distributor shell can be slightly rotated along or against the rotation direction by an angle, which can be appropriately reduced. Or increase the ignition advance angle, and then tighten the fixing screw after adjustment.
In order to see the angle of adjustment when adjusting, some distributors have octane selectors on the lower part. It consists of a pointer and a dial, which can indicate the angle of adjustment of the distributor housing.
In summary, the centrifugal regulator is adjusted by rotating the cam, and the vacuum regulator is adjusted by rotating the breaker contact without any movement interference. The actual ignition advance angle is the algebraic sum of the three.
