Based on customer needs, it is concluded that there are three methods to realize positive voltage input and negative voltage output: method one is the method of negative voltage chip; method two is the method of using Buck-Boost circuit; method three is to use BUCK to directly generate negative pressure.
Method 1: Negative pressure chip implementation
In the electronic market or electronic website, it is easy to find negative voltage chips using the charge pump method, but the maximum input voltage is only about 5.5V, and the load capacity is only tens of mA, such as TI TPS6040X series. The output power of such a negative pressure chip is too small to meet the application requirements of computer and server power supplies.
