First, there is no optimal process for developing a complete vehicle electrical system in the engineering design world. Almost every OEM has differences in products, vehicle electrical systems, wiring harness designs, and processes. Whether it’s a truck or bus manufacturer developing a highly standardized platform vehicle, or a standalone low-volume model, whether it’s a task carried out by a small team, or a development that is distributed around the world and has a large part outsourced, no matter how many suppliers are involved – all of these will affect the business process.
