Starting from the performance requirements and use characteristics of automotive high-voltage wiring harnesses, the main factors (terminal structure, crimping method, crimping height, and crimping length) affecting the crimping quality of cable and connector terminals in the crimping process are analyzed. Recommendations for optimal design are presented. Through the relevant automobile high-voltage wire harness crimping performance test, it is verified that the segmented crimping has better mechanical properties than the whole-section crimping, and the crimping method combining confining pressure and point pressure is used to reasonably control the crimping Height and length to ensure better mechanical and electrical performance of automotive high-voltage wiring harnesses.
