Reducing the size and weight of electrical architecture components such as high-voltage connectors is an important challenge as batteries become larger and heavier. However, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to this problem.
Instead of finding solutions piecemeal, OEMs need to partner with electrification technology providers who can provide experience, innovation and customization for developing vehicle- or system-level solutions.
To solve the challenges of vehicle electrification, it is not enough to focus only on the battery and the high-voltage connection system; the optimization of the high-voltage and low-voltage electrical architecture, as well as the overall architecture, is equally important.
