Flexibility
In some cases it may be necessary to impart a certain degree of flexibility to the high voltage busbars. If the high voltage busbar is difficult to bend, it may be difficult to fit into place due to manufacturing tolerances. Additionally, high-voltage busbars have a poor tolerance for tolerances that would be difficult to avoid due to thermal expansion or vibration.
For these reasons, OEMs are looking for solutions to add flexible components to high voltage busbars, creating a degree of flexibility while maintaining their advantages. These components can be located either at the terminals or somewhere in the middle of the high-voltage busbars.
