The short-term impact of autonomous driving on the electrical and electronic value of the vehicle is mainly reflected in sensors, in-vehicle computing platforms and software. Since lidar is still in the process of commercialization, the focus is on L3-level solutions with cameras as the main sensor. Although the technical solutions and investment plans of different car companies for L4/5 autonomous driving have not yet been determined, the high-performance computing platforms and basic software required for L1-3 levels have become key R&D and procurement requirements in the future, and car companies (such as Tesla) may adopt the concept of independent research and development of hardware, software and models in the future.
