Trend 1: Redefining electrical and electronic architecture – the “next step” is scale
The well-known technology roadmap for electrical and electronic architectures depicts the main characteristics of future electronic architectures and possible implementation time points. The roadmap itself needs no further introduction, but two important landmark nodes are still worth emphasizing, namely the emergence of DCU or HPC, and the emergence of a unified basic software platform, marking the essential evolution of EEA. Although the definition of the stages of EEA evolution may be different due to the different solutions of car companies, Roland Berger believes that the development of EEA will go through three stages: distributed architecture, domain-based centralized architecture and domain-based Domain Fusion Ribbon Architecture.
