Several through-hole rubber parts are usually used in the vehicle wiring harness, which are mainly used for the transition from the wet area to the dry area. However, when the branch is thick, the sealing measures are often not in place, resulting in water seepage of the rubber parts, resulting in short-circuit failure of the crimping point in the dry area, and even a burning accident in severe cases.
The main engine factory will define the waterproof form of the vehicle in the design stage, such as waterproofing with glue, foaming, etc. However, these forms of glue filling and foaming have their limitations: for example, the wiring harness factory needs to invest higher equipment (glue filling equipment, mold costs, air duct costs), material costs, and additional space occupation; the raw materials used need to be stored at low temperature; The foaming process releases toxic gases, etc. These conditions will put higher environmental, space and personnel demands on the wiring harness factory, and will also increase the cost of the wiring harness.
