The most direct function of the terminal shrapnel is to provide a reliable positive pressure F for the effective contact between the plug terminal and the socket terminal to meet the reliability of current and signal transmission
The failure of the terminal shrapnel is generally caused by the following reasons: ● During the production process of the terminal, the shrapnel gap size L is too large, and the shrapnel cannot be contacted with the plug terminal, thereby failing to provide a reliable positive pressure F for the plug terminal, resulting in contact failure; ● After the terminal is installed with the sheath, during the electrical inspection process, the probe of the electrical inspection is stuck and will not rebound, and the shrapnel caused by excessive extrusion of the shrapnel will not rebound; ● Improper operation during rework and repair, excessive extrusion of the terminal shrapnel causes the terminal shrapnel to fail. Rebound; ● The bending arc R at the root of the terminal shrapnel is too small, resulting in concentrated stress. During the deformation process of the shrapnel, plastic deformation occurs at the root of the bending arc.
