Test for electrical shorts with a multimeter
A multimeter is a versatile tool that can be used to find electrical shorts. One of the many functions a multimeter offers is continuity testing. Continuity means there is full current flow, which is essential for any wiring situation.
To choose the wire you want to test, you need to connect the two probes of the multimeter to the ends of the wire.
