The automotive wiring harness is mainly composed of copper connectors, plastic sheaths and wires. The connectors and wires are crimped and installed in the plastic sheath. The wires are bundled with wire harnesses and wrapped with tape, as shown in Figure 1. The function of the wire harness in the whole vehicle is to transmit and exchange the power signal and data signal of the electrical system to realize the functions and requirements of the electrical system. Automobile wiring harnesses are used in various parts of the car, including in the engine compartment under high temperature environment, under the chassis under harsh environments such as sand, water and mud stains, and at the bends of the front and rear doors and luggage back of the car, etc. Automotive wiring harnesses work in these complex and harsh environments for a long time and may face various failures.
