Temperature is too high
At room temperature, the three-way catalytic converter does not have catalytic ability, and its catalyst must be heated to a certain temperature to have the ability to oxidize or reduce. Usually, the light-off temperature of the catalytic converter is 250-350 ℃, and the normal working temperature is generally 400-800 ℃ . When the catalytic converter works, a large amount of self-mass will be generated, and the higher the oxidation temperature will be. When the temperature exceeds 1000 °C, the catalyst in the inner coating will sinter and die, and it is also very prone to vehicle spontaneous combustion accidents. Therefore, care must be taken to control various factors that cause the exhaust temperature to rise, such as too late ignition time or disordered ignition sequence, misfire, etc., which will make the unburned mixture enter the catalytic reactor, causing the exhaust temperature to be too high and affecting the Catalytic Converter Efficiency.
