Most chips will give a normal working voltage range, this value is usually ±5%. For example: For 3.3V voltage, in order to meet the normal operation of the chip, the power supply voltage is between 3.13V and 3.47V, or 3.3V±165mV. For the 1.2V voltage, in order to meet the normal operation of the chip, the power supply voltage is between 1.14V and 1.26V, or 1.2V±60mV. These limitations can be found in the recommended operating conditions section of the chip datasheet. There are two parts to these limitations, the first is the DC output error of the regulator chip, and the second is the peak amplitude of the power supply noise. The output voltage accuracy of old-fashioned voltage regulator chips is usually ±2.5%, so the peak amplitude of power supply noise should not exceed ±2.5%.
