    Crimping process
Due to the relatively large cross-sectional area of wires, terminals, and U-cards, the terminal crimping machines listed in Table 1 can no longer meet the requirements, and a punch with a larger nominal pressure must be used for crimping operations. Generally, a punch of 80 to 160kN is used, such as a J23-16B large punch.
Special crimping jaws or crimping dies should be provided for each terminal, and certain regular numbers should be engraved on the jaws and crimping dies for identification. Since most of the terminals for crimping large-section wires are individual pieces, the crimping die should have the functions of terminal limit and fixed locking. The operator uses tweezers to place the terminal on the crimping die, and holds the wire with both hands for crimping operation. The crimping die should also have anti-splashing and dangerous area isolation protection devices to avoid personal safety when the crimping jaws or the die fail and crack, or with the help of sensors and physical isolation devices, when the human limb is in the crimping die dangerous operation In the area, the crimping equipment is locked and cannot work.
