Reusability of reusable vehicle features, functions and systems is now critical. Optimization of electrical and electronic architecture and efficient system design are critical to maximize reusability, reduce the number of vehicle variants, and improve the ability to deliver vehicles on time. When developing new or facelifted models, the reuse of controllers is limited, and some of the constraints are fixed, such as traditionally, controllers from Tier 1 suppliers have a limited range of added functions, unless the supplier is contracted to develop such function contract.
