The way in which automated and manual processes are combined in the production of wire harnesses can be highlighted in the structure of dynamic assembly lines. The wiring harness assembly line has a low degree of automation, and the operator performs various manual operations, such as: positioning wires according to the drawing printed on the assembly board; threading the terminal into the connector; applying tape and protection according to the drawing printed on the assembly board.
Each assembly section consists of the following parts:
Fixed assembly plates for assembling components, the structure of each plate varies according to the operation for which it is designed;
The component store is organized in such a way that components for assembly are provided upfront and periodically by the operator;
Conveyor belt located below the assembly plate to convey the wire harness branches from one section to another.
