Overhaul of distributor shaft
● Check the radial runout of the distributor shaft. Hold the distributor housing vertically on a vise, turn the distributor shaft, and measure its radial runout with a dial indicator. The radial runout of the distributor shaft should not be greater than 0.05mm, otherwise it should be corrected or replaced.
● Check the axial clearance of the distributor shaft. Pull the distributor shaft up and down by hand, and measure its axial clearance with a thickness gauge. The gap between the upper and lower movement of the distributor shaft shall not be greater than 0.25mm; otherwise, an adjustment shim should be added for adjustment.
● Inspection of the plug at the lower end of the distributor shaft. The connection between the plug at the lower end of the distributor shaft and the socket should be firm and reliable. If the plug wear exceeds 0.30mm, it should be replaced or repaired; if the horizontal pin is loose, it should be replaced with a new one.
