The final quality and consistency of the crimp can never be better than the quality and consistency of the tool used. If other variations can be eliminated, the mold can and should be able to produce crimp forms that are well within specified tolerances. Likewise, from a Variations from one tool to another should be kept to a minimum. The characteristics of the crimp tool are well controlled and exhibit excellent consistency from tool set to tool set, resulting in shorter setup times and more consistent production result.
