In order to ensure that the airbags are deployed at the appropriate time, automobile manufacturers have stipulated the detonation conditions of the airbags. Only when these conditions are met, the airbags will explode. Although in some traffic accidents, the occupants in the car are bruised and even their lives are in danger, and the vehicle is close to being scrapped, but if the conditions for the airbag to explode are not met, the airbag will still not be deployed.
Airbag deployment requires the right speed and angle of impact. Theoretically speaking, only when the front of the vehicle hits a fixed object at a position of about 60° to the left and right and the speed is higher than 30KM/h, then the airbag can be deployed. The speed mentioned here is not the speed we understand in the usual sense, but the speed at which the vehicle collides with a relatively rigid fixed obstacle in the test room. In the actual collision, the speed of the car is higher than the test speed before the airbag can be opened.
