What is CAN?
CAN (Controller Area Network) controller area network is the first proposed by BOSCH in order to solve the increased signal transmission of vehicles, and it is also a serial communication protocol standardized by ISO.
Features of CAN:
Multi-master control: and broadcast type, when the bus is idle, all units can send messages to the bus, and the priority of the message ID (identifier) is identified by bit-by-bit arbitration, and the one with higher priority gets the right to send.
The flexibility of the system: the units connected to the bus do not have information similar to “address”, so when adding units on the bus, the software, hardware and application layers of other units connected to the bus do not need to be changed.
Remote data request: You can request other units to send data by sending a “remote frame”.
