Cam maintenance
The surface of the cam should be very smooth and free from any scratches, burrs and defects that would accelerate the wear of the movable arm top block. The cooperation between the cam and the distributor shaft should be firm, and the matching clearance should not exceed the specified value. In use, if the cam is defective, it should be replaced. The main inspection data of the cam are as follows: the wear limit of the lobe is not more than 0.4mm; the height difference of each lobe is not more than 0.05mm; the runout of each lobe to the distributor axis is not more than 0.03mm; the matching clearance between the cam and the distributor shaft is not more than 0.03mm. 0.03mm.
Inspection and adjustment of contact gap
Turn the cam so that the lobe of the cam pushes the platinum contact to the maximum gap, and measure the gap with a thickness gauge. If the gap value does not meet the requirements, it should be adjusted. The adjustment method is: loosen the screw 1, insert the screwdriver into the slot 2, and gently pry the fixed contact arm to make the gap value reach the standard value.
