When driving on uneven roads, special care should be taken not to “support the bottom”, because most of the three-way catalytic converters are catalyst carriers formed by honeycomb pottery, which are easy to break after collision, causing the catalytic converter to fail and the exhaust pipe to be blocked.
Abnormal operating conditions, such as flashback or repetitive stalls, should be stopped in time for inspection, as these conditions can cause permanent damage to the catalytic converter.
Do not turn off the ignition switch of a moving vehicle.
Check the three-way catalytic converter during vehicle maintenance. The inspection contents include: whether there is any abnormal noise in the exhaust pipe, which is usually caused by loose exhaust pipe joints, damage to the three-way catalytic converter, loose catalyst replacement plug, etc.; whether the exhaust pipe is cracked or the casing is flattened, etc. The appearance is damaged; the exhaust tail pipe has no catalyst particles discharged. If the three-way catalytic converter casing is damaged or the exhaust tail pipe emits particles, it needs to be replaced.
There are two methods of regeneration, namely wet method and fire method.
