Since the terminals crimped at both ends of the large-section wire are mostly large individual hole connectors, power supply positive and negative connectors, right-angle elbows, etc., the size requirements of the product drawing are mostly from the branch point to the center of the hole, or from the branch point to the right-angle elbow. inner edge. When calculating the cutting length of the wire according to the size of the product drawing, subtract the part of the length H of the crimp terminal. The process allowance of the wire should comprehensively consider factors such as the branch direction and the position of the fixture on the tooling board of the wire harness.
Off-line (unloading) process
Wires packaged in small rolls can be cut with a terminal crimping machine and a cutting die. According to the wire diameter of the wire, a terminal crimping machine with a nominal pressure of 20 to 40 kN is generally sufficient. Common terminal crimping machine models and parameters are shown in Table 1. Adopting this method has the advantages of simple equipment, economy, and space saving, etc., but the disadvantage is that the degree of automation is low, the consistency is poor, and the accuracy of wire off-line is not high. But by adding a worktable and a movable sliding scale, the length tolerance of the lower wire can be controlled to H=h+5-0 mm.
